The Bambu Lab H3C is Bambu Lab's next-generation tool changer 3D printer, built to make multi-color and multi-material printing fast, clean and easy. Swaptek™ 9-tool switching gives each material its own dedicated PrintTool, filament path and heater. That means material switches in as little as 6 seconds, purge waste as low as 0.038 g, and no retracting one filament before loading the next.
The H3C pairs with the fully enclosed AMS 3H filament system, which has nine sealed slots, automatic loading and a built-in 85°C dryer. It also has a 65°C actively heated chamber, 350°C hardened-steel nozzles, travel speeds up to 1,400 mm/s and AI-powered monitoring. You can print PLA, TPU, carbon fiber nylon and more from a single compact machine. With optional CraftTools, the H3C can also cut, draw, deboss and foil-transfer.

What is the Bambu Lab H3C?
The H3C is Bambu Lab's tool changer 3D printer. It uses Swaptek™ 9-tool switching and the AMS 3H filament system for fast, low-waste multi-color and multi-material printing.
How fast does the H3C switch materials?
Material switches take as little as 6 seconds, with a 3.4-second tool change. That's based on Bambu Lab's testing with PLA Basic in filament-saving purge mode.
How much filament does the H3C waste when changing colors?
Purge waste can be as low as 0.038 g per change, because each PrintTool keeps its own filament loaded. Actual purge varies by settings and filament.
What's included with the H3C AMS Combo?
The combo includes the H3C printer, the AMS 3H, the 2.85 mm PrintTool pre-installed in Slot No. 8 (the dryer slot) and a Textured PEI Plate. It has everything you need for full FDM printing, and all you add is filament.
What's the difference between the 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm PrintTools?
The 1.75 mm PrintTool is for standard filaments. The 2.85 mm PrintTool is dedicated to flexible filaments like 75A TPU. Their bases, hotends and cutters are different and can't be swapped.
Can the H3C dry filament?
Yes. The AMS 3H has two drying slots that reach 85°C, which is enough for PA, PC and carbon-fiber filaments. Selected filaments can be dried while printing.
Can I use more than nine filaments?
Yes. You can connect existing Bambu Lab AMS units through PrintTool No. 1 to support up to 24 filament spools.
Can the H3C print carbon fiber and engineering materials?
Yes. Every nozzle is hardened steel (HRC 55+) rated to 350°C, and the chamber heats actively to 65°C. It handles ABS, PC, PA-CF, PET-CF and other abrasive or high-temperature materials.
Can the H3C do more than 3D printing?
Yes. Optional CraftTools, including the CutTool, DrawTool and DebossTool, switch in automatically for blade-cutting, drawing, debossing and foil transfer.
Does the H3C work with third-party slicers?
It's designed for Bambu Studio. Third-party slicers that export standard G-code, like PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer and Cura, are supported, but some advanced features may not work.
How much space does the H3C need?
Leave at least 593 × 1,056 × 1,306 mm of working space. That gives 385 mm in front, 50 mm on each side, 100 mm behind and 290 mm on top. With the Bambu Station L, allow 593 × 1,056 × 1,900 mm.
