For X1/P1 owners, a switching adapter is needed to power the drying function. Since filament drying lasts long, you rarely need multiple adapters running simultaneously.
For H2D owners, your H2D can power anyone of the AMS 2 Pro(s) connected for drying, so if you're not planning to run multiple AMS 2 Pro for drying simultaneously, you won't be needing an adapter.

24 Colors/Multi-Material: Serially connect up to 4 AMS 2 Pro & 8 AMS HT units, total of 24 filaments
Electro-Magnetic Air Vent: Fast filament drying & air-tight filament storage. Automated venting facilitates dehumidification during drying and ensures airtight sealing for weeks of high-quality printing.
65° Celsius Drying: Up to 65°C drying temperature
Brushless Motor: 60% faster feeding speed

Auto Rotate Drying: During the drying process, the filament spools rotate automatically to ensure more even drying.

Automatic Filament Identification: Bambu Lab filaments use RFID which is read by the AMS to automatically identify and apply the best settings for your material.
RFID Sync: AMS 2 Pro uses RFID to auto-match drying settings for Bambu official filaments, no manual input needed.

Tool Free Filament Access: Removing snapped filament from the first-gen AMS requires extracting all spools and disassembling the shell with two screws, taking 3-5 minutes. In contrast, the AMS 2 Pro offers direct, tool-free access to filament tubes from the top.
Ceramic Inlet: Ceramic filament inlets with Vickers hardness of 1200 significantly enhances durability.
