The Brother SE700 can embroider soft shell hats or any soft hat that can be placed into the flat 4"x4" hoop. However, for hard shell hats (baseball caps, trucker hats, etc), the SE700 is not properly equipped to embroider directly onto a curved hard surface. We suggest for hard shell hat embroidery, the Brother PRS100 or the BAi Embroidery machines (both the Mirror and Vision)
