The Brother SE2000 can only embroider soft shell hats (like beanies) and patches as the hat needs to be held within the flat hoops of the machine. For hard shell hats (baseball hats, trucker hats, etc), you would want to look into the Brother PRS100 or the BAi Embroidery machine line, both of which have designated hat hoops.
