The Brother SE2000 can only embroider soft shell hats and patches, as the hat needs to be held within the flat hoops of the machine. It does not have any compatible hoops for hard shell hats (baseball hats, trucker hats, etc). For hard shell hats, you would want to look into the Brother PRS100 or the BAi Embroidery machine line, both of which have designated hat hoops.
