Yes, we certainly recommend the Brother SE700 for making fully embroidered and appliqué patches. With the 4"in x 4" in hoop size, this would be both beginner friendly and help with attention to detail on each patch. You can also switch from the embroidery arm to the sewing function to secure or top stitch any patches onto clothing of all kinds.
